Songwriter / vocal.... Writing lyrics- improvisation- melody and singing... Born 1972 Istanbul Turkey
Reflecting herself with her lyrics, sound and voice. Started in 80's with the school band (primary, middle, high) F.M.V Private Isik High Istanbul, Nişantaşı; with song contests, concerts. During 90's worked with a jazz quarted in Ankara.

T.G: Club/disco music wise, not in the same class with Europe or the States as can be examined on charts, unfortunately except a few. But,
Istanbul has many impressive
and chic
night clubs to entertain.
R.R: When choosing a label to work with, what do you look for?
T.G:Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Etta James, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Ray Charles, Nate King Cole, John Bonjovi, Donna Summer, George Michael, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Galdys Night, Dinah Washington, Simply 80's. I am always impressed by the God gifted voices with being soft and powerful.
T.G: Hand voice –recorder, I can come up with a whole melody/song at a time. ‘’Yamaha’’
Keyboard, ‘Finale’ notation software, lyrics notebook.
T.G: Yes I am.
It is not the same as it was 5 years ago. Improvement goes with time, talent, inspiration, creativity and
change. I must say, house music producers can include more live instruments and powerful lyrics to
visualize. Musicians think, digital music is added sample music, playing in a computer loop. Although technology is a part of this,
generating
improvised sounds, mixing different components
does create great with upbeat forms. Unexpected change in the beat of heart. That is an added value.
For all we know, if a production is still on air 10 years later from now,
that is a solid success with no doubt.
T.G: People do not believe I am Turkish, not funny though, ironic.
T.G: Internet is the main tool and source for music business lately. Both to give and take. Informing people about what you are doing and easy distribution with less investment.
But, too much to boil in the same pot. There are many tracks and voices looking for a breakthrough but get lost in between the mp3 crowd..
I believe, Mp3 sales might
lose its charm someday and speed down. So alike, satiated and consumed. Besides, plenty of good house music productions come up as many might fade out in time. After all, real good will stay as it is and show out itself for better to survive. Today’s music seemto combine different genres, which I quite do like listening to. For the future, changing trends might divert listeners to buy album/cds for quality music, as it was before. Where, with every rise there comes a fall. Keeping the whole package desirable is an advantage, I assume.
Bottom line is, an achieved success in this business is
for the those who can foresee.
R.R: What else are you doing that does not involve the music?
R.R: Where do you see yourself in five years time?
T.G: Well, I do love singing.
Some kind of exposing feelings trapped in the flesh, makes blissfully happy. Pop jazz, house, rock, soul…whatever it is to integrate. My majorplan is to make my own album/cd with my own song.
I have enough songs to cover up already. I may interpret a jazz classic with a revolutionary touch. Moreover, I’ll be clustering all my poems/lyrics this summer, might do something with them.
If not… I will survive probably
